IT Sr Solutions Engineer

We are looking for a talented IT Sr. Solutions Engineer to join our team specializing in Information Technology for our Cummins in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León. The role is 100% onsite.

Job Summary:

Partners with business functions to define, determine, analyze, document and communicate the objectives, business requirements and priorities for information systems and solutions; works with application and technical experts on the solution design, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the information systems.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams / stakeholders to deliver outcomes, projects, or services on time and within scope.
  • Drive digital manufacturing initiatives using Agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and coordination with cross-functional IT and plant teams.
  • Own and continuously improve processes, systems, or metrics related to the department.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define business success criteria for medium to large initiatives.
  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Manage requirement changes, ensuring impacts are understood and approved by stakeholders.
  • Validate solutions to ensure they meet business and technical needs.
  • Review test plans and support testing activities to reduce risk and confirm expected results.
  • Conduct problem analysis and coordinate resolution of moderate to complex issues.
  • Build strong relationships with business, IT, and operations teams to deliver business value.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital manufacturing, IT, or related roles.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition platforms.
  • Strong experience with Databases (SQL) and Power BI.
  • Advanced English proficiency (80%+).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MES Apriso systems.
