Job Summary:
Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.
We are looking for a talented Heavy Equipment Technician (Afternoon Shift) to join us in (Edmonton, AB).
3:30 PM - 12 Midnight (Shift)
100% Onsite
This role will make an impact in the following ways:
- Performpreventive,predictive,corrective,andemergencymaintenanceonmanufacturingequipmentandsystems
- Diagnoseandrepairmechanical,hydraulic,pneumatic,andelectricalissuestosupportequipmentuptime
- Completeengineassembly,repair,andoverhaulactivitiesasrequired
- Utilizetechnicalmanuals,diagrams,specifications,measuringdevices,andtestingequipmenttoperformrepairs
- Performqualityinspectionsanddocumentmaintenanceactivitiesaccurately
- Supportcontinuousimprovementinitiativesandequipmentdowntimefailureanalysis
- Maintainasafe,clean,andorganizedworkareawhilefollowingallHealth,Safety&Environmental(HSE)requirements
- Coachandsupportlessexperiencedtechniciansandassistwithskilldevelopmentacrosstheteam

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- HETOff-RoadJourneypersonCertification(required)
- Strongexperienceperformingmaintenanceandrepairsonheavyequipmentandmanufacturingequipment
- Abilitytoindependentlytroubleshootmechanical,hydraulic,pneumatic,andelectricalsystems
- Engineassembly,repair,rebuild,andoverhaulexperiencepreferred
- Experienceperformingpreventive,corrective,predictive,andemergencymaintenanceactivities
- Abilitytoreadandinterprettechnicaldrawings,schematics,manuals,andspecifications
- Strongunderstandingofworkplacesafetypractices,includingelectrical,hydraulic,andpneumaticcontrols
- ExperienceusingCumminsQuickServeandCumminsINSITEisconsideredanasset
- Strongcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytomentorapprenticesandlessexperiencedtechnicians
- Commitmenttoquality,continuousimprovement,teamwork,andsafetyexcellence.
HET OFFROAD Journey Person Certification Required
Engine Assembly/Repair experience prefered
Cummins Service Tooling (Cummins Quickserve and Cummins Insite) an asset
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
