Finance Manager (m/w/d)

We are looking for a talented Finance Manager (m/w/d) to join our team specializing in Finance for our CDD Finance Department in Gross-Gerau, Hessen, Germany .

The role is offered in a hybrid working model , with 60% of the time in the Gross-Gerau office and 40% working remotely .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensures consistent and compliant accounting practices by implementing corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate financial records by managing the general ledger and overseeing both corporate and statutory accounting activities.
  • Analyzes, reviews, and records complex financial data to support reliable financial reporting and sound business decisions.
  • Strengthens internal controls by identifying weaknesses, recommending improvements, and leading the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Serves as a key contact for complex accounting matters, supporting local teams and collaborating closely with other Finance functions.
  • Prepares and submits the monthly consolidated reporting package on time and in line with corporate requirements.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete responses to all audit inquiries.
  • Coordinates and finalizes statutory financial statements and tax returns, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field required.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience, including experience in supervising or mentoring others.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong technical accounting expertise, financial regulations, and financial internal controls.
  • The ability to analyze complex business processes and assess internal control risks to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills to manage ambiguity, direct work, and support the development of team members.
  • German language skills (preferred) to effectively handle audit-related communication with external auditors and the local business.
