Job Summary

The Financial Analyst / Finance Associate supports financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities to enable effective business decision-making. This role is responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing financial performance, supporting budget management processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Working under moderate supervision, the position collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial insights, improve spending awareness, and support organizational financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management, highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
  • Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide variance explanations.
  • Monitor departmental spending and promote cost awareness across the organization.
  • Assist in evaluating financial results and identifying opportunities for business improvement.

Financial Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare periodic financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholders.
  • Load and maintain actual and forecast data within financial systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information and reporting.
  • Support month-end and periodic financial reporting activities.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions when required.

Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with business teams to provide financial insights and decision-making support.
  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and financial system enhancements.
  • Support management in identifying financial risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to improving financial reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • ICWA/CMA/CA Inter (completed or pursuing) preferred.

Certifications

  • Additional certifications in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Financial Systems are an advantage.

Experience

3-5 years of relevant experience required

  • Some relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Reporting, or related areas preferred.
  • Experience gained through education, internships, professional training, or on-the-job exposure will be considered.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable, or accounting processes is advantageous.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is preferred.
  • Candidates pursuing or holding CA Inter or ICWA/CMA Inter qualifications are encouraged to apply
