Specific information about the field:
The purpose of this project is to develop a standardized, visual methodology to improve the control, storage, and flow of steel bars of various diameters used in Diff Stock forging processes, ensuring order, operational efficiency, and a reduction in errors. The intern will be responsible for analyzing the current process, designing layout improvements, creating an effective visual classification system, and documenting a standard process that facilitates operations and ensures proper material handling.
Activities:
- Analysis of the flow of steel bars (production process).
- Analysis of processes documented in the quality management system.
- Prepare tables, records, and lists that enable the identification of steel bar usage according to product families.
The student will gain experience in:

The requirements are as follows:
• Availability for 1 year as an active student (enrolled in university through June-July 2027).
• Availability to work 7 morning hours Monday through Friday, preferably from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Student of Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
• Must have a Federal Taxpayer ID (RFC).
• English proficiency: Intermediate (speaking, writing, and listening).
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
