Engine Field Service Technician (Local)

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to complete our team in Fort McMurray, AB.

Position is a 14x14 rotational days and nights.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Anticipate and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
• Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional service opportunities with customer.
• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor

• Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Basic level field service work experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
• Mining experience is an asset as this position supports our mining team.
• Working on Komatsu's products is an asset.
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience is considered an asset for this role.
• Customer facing service experience is required.

• Safety Sensitive Position
• 14 shifts on, 14 shifts off rotation
• Day and Night shifts
• Work is at Suncor Base Plant

• You are responsible for transportation to the work site (ride sharing is also available)
• Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
• Service vehicle and tooling are provided.
• Position will support our mining team.
• Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position.
• Hourly wages 66.00$ hourly plus premiums
• Some traveling to be expected
• Position requires a Fit Test (respiratory protection) as this is a site requirement.

• A copy of your red seal certification will be required
• A local driver's license verification will be required
• A copy of your driver's abstract will be required
• Random drug and alcohol testing to be expected for this role
