Engine Field Service Technician - Level II

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Distribution Business Segment in San Fernando de Henares, Spain.

This role requires up to 50% domestic travel frequency and 10% international travel frequency.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Efficient Repairs: By diagnosing and completing fewer complex repairs on generators and components, you'll ensure minimal downtime for customers, enhancing their satisfaction and trust.
  • Customer Engagement: Your courteous and professional interactions will build strong relationships with customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • Proactive Service: Anticipating and addressing customer needs promptly will demonstrate your commitment to excellent service, leading to positive customer experiences.
  • Technical Expertise: Using specialized tools and following procedures to diagnose and repair issues will showcase your technical skills and ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance activities will help prevent future issues, ensuring the reliability and longevity of power generation products.
  • Problem Escalation: Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors will ensure that complex problems are addressed efficiently, maintaining service quality.
  • Accurate Documentation: Completing necessary documentation accurately will support warranty claims, quality control, and service records, contributing to operational efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance: Health, Safety, and Environmental policies will ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations, protecting both you and your customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Proactive and Customer-Oriented Approach: Being proactive in identifying and addressing customer needs and maintaining a customer-first mindset will help you build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Strong Diagnostic Skills: The ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans, using specialized tools and software to diagnose and resolve issues accurately, is crucial.
  • Knowledge of Power Generation Systems: Demonstrating a thorough understanding of power generation systems and adhering to safety standards will enable you to diagnose and repair systems efficiently and safely.
  • Effective Communication and Teamwork: Communicating clearly and handling complex situations, whether working independently or as part of a team, will ensure smooth operations and successful repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Medium English level
  • Medium level field service work experience. Previous experience in the industrial field, generating sets, diesel mechanics in general. Experience preferably in the Data Center environment. High experience in diesel generators.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
  • Availability to cover emergency services.
