Engine Field Service Technician - Level I

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnostic assessments, and minor repairs on engines and power generation equipment at customer sites.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand concerns, explain findings, and outline next steps, ensuring a positive service experience.
• Utilize a range of mechanical and electronic tools to troubleshoot issues and execute service tasks with precision and safety.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including service worksheets, inspection reports, timesheets, and warranty submissions.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and well-stocked service vehicle to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Actively participate in training, mentoring, and upskilling opportunities to expand technical expertise and meet evolving business needs.

• A vocational diploma or trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field).
• A valid and current driver's license to travel to various customer locations.
• Basic hands-on experience working with engines, generators, or related equipment-workshop or field service experience desirable.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally through technical training and on-the-job mentorship.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Commitment to safety protocols and demonstrated awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools, schematics, and service documentation processes (preferred but not mandatory).
• Additional licenses such as HR or forklift (highly regarded).
