DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician (Level III), specialising in Service, based in Wishaw, Scotland, United Kingdom.
This is a permanent role, working Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead complex troubleshooting and repair operations across Cummins mid-range to high-horsepower products, ensuring high-quality service delivery on customer sites.
- Drive operational excellence by adhering to Cummins' Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and using electronic tools like Guidanz, SAP, and ANVL to complete documentation and service tasks efficiently.
- Strengthen customer relationships by serving as the primary technical contact, delivering prompt and effective support, and identifying additional service opportunities.
- Champion health and safety by modelling proactive behaviours and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and legislation.
- Mentor and develop technicians and apprentices, transferring technical knowledge and reviewing repair plans to build team capability.
- Support strategic initiatives by contributing to local CIT projects and collaborating with branch teams to meet business goals.
- Ensure technical accuracy and escalation by diagnosing complex issues, documenting troubleshooting steps, and escalating unresolved problems to product specialists.
- Enhance service quality and efficiency through expert use of diagnostics and electronic service tools, ensuring repairs meet Cummins standards and customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Advanced technical proficiency in engine systems, diagnostics, and electronic service tools to manage complex repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Strong communication and customer focus, enabling you to tailor solutions to diverse client needs and foster long-term relationships.
- Leadership and coaching skills to guide junior technicians, manage conflict, and develop talent aligned with organisational goals.
- Adaptability and self-development mindset, embracing continuous learning and growth through formal and informal channels.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution; Apprentice Trained Engine Technician is preferred.
- Locally valid driving permit.
- Significant field service experience with expert-level knowledge of engine products.
- Proven customer service background.
- Experience providing technical advice and coaching to junior technicians is preferred.
