Engine Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Sparwood, BC).

58.18/HR base rate plus premiums.

• 7x7 rotational shift, including day and night shifts
• Potential opportunities for 4x4 rotational schedules on days or nights, depending on operational requirements

This position offers the opportunity to work on industry-leading equipment, support critical mining operations, and be part of a highly skilled team serving customers across the Elk Valley region.

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls
• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Field Service Technician - Mining Operations Elk Valley, BC

Join our team as a Field Service Technician supporting mining customers throughout the Elk Valley, British Columbia . This position operates on a 7x7 rotation , with opportunities for 4x4 schedules , and includes both day and night shifts . Working directly at mine sites, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty equipment while delivering exceptional customer service in a safety-focused environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Customer service experience
