We are looking for a talented Electrolyzer Field Service Technician to join our team in the Orlando, FL area.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
As a customer-focused individual, independently carries out preventative maintenance and/or diagnoses and performs complex repairs on Electrolyzer products at the customer's site.
May provide some technical guidance to less experienced technicians.
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills are highly desirable.
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair is highly desirable.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of PLC controls is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of field repairs and diagnostics are highly desirable.
- Requires minimal supervision to complete tasks.
- 50 - 60 % travel throughout the US will be necessary to meet business needs.
- This position is focused on Cummins Electrolyzer products and repair.
- Basic hand tools required for jobs are highly desired.
- will be required to travel with the US frequently.

Key Responsibilities:
Establishes and continually develops productive customer relationships, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Utilizes specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at the customer site independently.
Engages customers courteously and professionally, anticipating their needs and escalating key customer or market information to senior technicians or supervisors as necessary.
Performs preventative maintenance activities according to documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisors.
Accurately completes required documentation such as service reports, time sheets, service quality documents, using handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Engage with the supervisor to review parts lists for major jobs, confirm service history and warranty coverage, and communicate any additional parts required beyond the initial job estimate for troubleshooting purposes.
Proactively address complex customer complaints, escalating to higher levels of support when necessary.
Identifies additional service opportunities to share with the supervisor.
Recognizes areas for process improvement and implements methodologies to reduce costs and improve quality in current manufacturing processes.
Participates in training aligned with skill and business requirements and continues on-the-job training to gain relevant experience.
Maintains the service vehicle and tools to ensure cleanliness and proper operation.
Acts as a subject matter expert for technicians and apprentices, transferring knowledge and experience to others, providing work direction, and reviewing repair plans and parts lists.
Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures related to hydrogen and/or pressurized gas, reporting any issues or incidents to site management and supervisors.
Identifies opportunities for work process improvements and communicates these effectively with the assigned team and all support teams.
Adapts to various working environments based on location and job requirements, ensuring compliance with industry regulatory standards at all times.

Service Documentation - Creates and verifies customer, equipment and technical information; captures specific data using required service tools; follows procedures and documents required information in the service management system in order to have an accurate record of the work done.
Technical Escalation - Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources including data management tools; elevates issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer response with investigation efforts; captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database in order to ensure seamless transitions and accurate response to ticket resolution in a timely manner.
Diagnostics Application - Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan; troubleshoots issue following guided work flows, procedures, specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair; validates repair by duplicating complaint to ensure it has been resolved; documents results of troubleshooting in business systems to communicate what has been done for payment and historical tracking.
Electronic Service Tool Application - Identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event; utilizes the appropriate electronic tool set to maintain the product or diagnose and troubleshoot an issue; interprets electronic tool results or recommendations to determine next steps for service resolution.
Product Repair and Maintenance - Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembles and assembles engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers cost of ownership; performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.
Electrolyzer Systems Knowledge - Systems Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; interprets and analyzes Electrolyzer system operation and integration by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.
Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

Electrical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; applies basic electrical theories and electronics components knowledge using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:Apprentice Trained Electrical Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Will involve 50-60% travel.
Experience:Intermediate field service work experience
Expert level knowledge of and/or experience on mechanical and electical knowledge and PLC [Program Logic Controller] control systems with Electrolyser products.
Need experience to suport as SME for level 1 and Level 2 technicians across various regions.
