Diesel Technician

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Hazard, KY.

You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Mid-Range and Heavy-Duty engine experience
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good computer skills with the normal Microsoft programs used for typing up service repair steps, diagnostic troubleshooting, good knowledge of repairing Cummins engines (prefer both mid-range and heavy duty).
• Prefer tech school/college diploma
• Minimum 2 years experience
• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
