Customer Engineer

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Customer Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engines Office Turkey Country Support Department in Istanbul or İzmir, Türkiye .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Serve as the technical liaison between OEMs and customers during new product development programs.
• Apply Cummins products to customer vehicles by developing technical specifications and implementing design configurations.
• Deliver high-performance, cost-effective equipment and system solutions integrated with customer products.
• Investigate integration and installation issues, recommend actions, and document resolutions.
• Support and improve processes such as Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration using tools like COLS and GCE.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and VPI Teams to provide product data and installation requirements.
• Build strong relationships with customer technical teams to manage specifications, communicate changes, and resolve installation issues.
• Translate customer needs into functional product requirements and advocate for them during design reviews and product changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Solid understanding of automotive systems, including engines and powertrains.
• Experience with test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Strong communication skills combined with conflict management and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage projects effectively, including risk assessment and prioritization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (or equivalent) is required.
• A relevant Master's degree may be required for certain specialized roles.
