Job Summary:
Supports and troubleshoots hardware and software test operations/measurement in multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports and troubleshoots engineering test operations/measurement in multiple locations.
Manages schedules and organizes tests and issues; facilitates the prioritization process for testing.
Works with engineers to develop measurement techniques; designs more effective measurement methods and data acquisition processes and equipment;
develops and executes measurement plans; leads the troubleshooting process; verifies proposed solutions; designs and procures fixtures for special tests;
creates software needed for special applications; documents hardware test measurements and test summaries.

Provides support to resolve test issues; leads the test/measurement and issue resolution process; may lead the development and execution of
customer/supplier agreements with engineers.
Performs data analysis and documents in Technical Reports; presents test findings.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR
Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Experience:
Department of Labor Certification OR four year experience/education requirement accomplished through either Bachelors degree in related field OR associates
degree in related field and at least two years of relevant experience.
OCU - Machining Technician - SEP specific role responsibilities
Job summary:
This is an onsite role at Seymour Engine Plant supporting Machining Engineering. This role requires the successful candidate to take technical ownership of tools, equipment and processes necessary to produce quality parts for plant assembly lines and service. Candidates must thoroughly understand the protocols of working safely with industrial equipment, electricity and other energy sources. Acts as a formal resource working cross functionally with other manufacturing disciplines to quickly and efficiently address issues, improve manufacturing processes and environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
Stop work and immediately report any injury hazards. Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, risk, or hazard. Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures and regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Promote interdependence by looking out for one another. Lead or support projects that correct hazards or ergonomic risks within your control and capabilities. Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact. Core Work:
Take technical ownership of machining tools, equipment, and processes necessary to produce quality parts for an area, or areas, within the plant. Champion continuous improvement activities centered around overall efficiency, RFT, Scrap reduction, HSE, and TCO (total cost of ownership).
Ability to apply Mills, Lathes, Grinders and other industrial equipment to manufacture various engine components. Select and apply cutting tools to efficiently produce components. Ability to design and apply work holding fixtures, correctly applying them to improve processes, improving RFT (right first time), reduce scrap and improve efficiency. Ability to write, edit and maintain CNC code manually or with the aid of CAM. Fully proficient in the use of precision measuring devices, understanding CMM data and measurement strategies, layout work to facilitate process development, troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Works cross functionally with other disciplines in the plant to achieve broad goals.
Teamwork:
Share knowledge and skills to other team members and mentor as needed. Communicate effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Participates actively with local Maintenance teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
