Senior Manager, Close Operations (Maternity Cover)

The role is part of the Accounting Services Team and will be responsible for managing the monthly and close global operations activities in line with Global processes and policies
Responsibilities
- Lead a close operations team in the delivery of the global monthly and close transactions
- Ensure accurate, timely and reliable delivery of monthly standard journal entries (including but not limited to Payroll, Prepayments, Accruals, Reclassification, Inventory Validation)
- Ensure accurate, timely and reliable delivery of monthly close transactions (Goods in Transit, Foreign Exchange, Blocked Billing Document management, COGS Transfer)
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of local entity data into group consolidation system (FCORE) Lead co-ordination and delivery of external and internal audit requests Review and approve applicable balance sheet reconciliations Drive global standardisation and processes as part of shared service centre evolution under a close operations team Support continuous improvement plans and projects Support Financial Controllers team ensuring collaboration and strong relationship foundations
- General people management activities
Education Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field desirable
- Professional certification desirable (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years' relevant experience in a multi-national company
