Medical Science Liaison, Quebec

As a field-based medical expert for Quebec and the Atlantic, you will report into the MSL Lead for Canada. The MSL supports CSL products and therapeutic areas by advancing scientific and collaborative relationships and being a conduit for knowledge exchange with key members of external healthcare communities and internal stakeholders towards optimized patient outcomes. The MSL function in general is knowledge-based, anchored in educating internal and external stakeholders in the science behind, and safe and appropriate use of our products. The MSL supports the generation of medical-scientific knowledge and applies subject matter expertise to special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire and maintain a level of medical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL Canada's products. Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL products and areas of therapeutic interest (iron deficiency and cardio-renal therapies).
- Identify appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with which to develop professional relationships to ensure exchange of medical-scientific information relevant to CSL Canada products and areas of therapeutic interest.
- Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies).
- Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL Independent Investigator Study (IIS) Program process in response to unsolicited requests. Communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.

- Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions.
- Attend scientific and medical meetings.
- Doctoral level degree in a Medical and/or scientific field is preferred.
- Degree in a Medical and/or scientific field with strong relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare experience is required.
- Prior MSL experience is required.
- Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a dynamic, field-based environment
- Language requirement: French and English

Responsabilités :
- Acquérir et maintenir un niveau de connaissances médico-scientifiques dans le ou les domaines thérapeutiques et/ou pathologies liés aux produits de CSL Canada. Interpréter et diffuser de manière précise et conforme des données scientifiques, cliniques et économiques équilibrées et factuelles. Recueillir et évaluer les nouvelles informations applicables aux produits CSL et aux domaines thérapeutiques d'intérêt (carence en fer et traitements cardio-rénaux).
- Identifier les leaders d'opinion clés (KOL) et les professionnels de la santé (HCP) régionaux appropriés avec lesquels établir des relations professionnelles afin d'assurer l'échange d'informations médico-scientifiques pertinentes pour les produits de CSL Canada et les domaines thérapeutiques d'intérêt.
- Offrir des programmes éducatifs approuvés à des publics pertinents du secteur de la santé (p. ex. professionnels de la santé, organismes de soins gérés, pharmacies spécialisées).
- Fournir des informations générales de haut niveau sur les domaines d'intérêt concernant le processus du programme d'études indépendantes (IIS) de CSL en réponse à des demandes spontanées. Communiquer les progrès réalisés pour les IIS approuvées et soutenues.
- Recueillir, traduire et communiquer des informations exploitables et alignées sur la stratégie à partir d'interactions scientifiques, éducatives et lors de conférences.
- Participer à des réunions scientifiques et médicales.
Qualifications :
- Un doctorat dans un domaine médical et/ou scientifique est préférable.
- Un diplôme dans un domaine médical et/ou scientifique assorti d'une solide expérience pertinente sera pris en considération.
- Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie pharmaceutique ou le secteur de la santé sont requis.
- Une expérience préalable en tant que MSL est requise.
- Doit être capable d'organiser, de hiérarchiser et de travailler efficacement dans un environnement dynamique et sur le terrain.
- Exigences linguistiques : français et anglais.
