Global Head EHS Systems & Compliance
Role Purpose
The Global EHS Management System & Global Compliance Lead is responsible for developing, governing, and continuously improving the company's enterprise-wide Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System. This role ensures consistent global standards aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and applicable regulatory requirements. The leader oversees global EHS compliance, risk governance, internal standards, regulatory intelligence, audit programs, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes to ensure regulatory readiness and operational excellence across all global sites.
This role has global governance authority for EHS management system requirements and compliance frameworks, with accountability for system effectiveness, audit readiness, and certification outcomes across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and govern the Global EHS Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain global EHS policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Lead global EHS compliance strategy, including regulatory tracking, risk assessments, compliance plans, and global controls.
• Manage the global EHS audit program, including planning, execution, findings management, and CAPA oversight.
• Conduct management reviews and present EHS compliance performance, trends, and risks to senior leadership.
• Oversee regulatory intelligence processes and ensure timely communication and implementation of new requirements.

• Partner with EHS regions, Legal, Quality, Operations, and other functions to ensure global alignment and execution.
• Develop global training content and competency frameworks to ensure capability across regions.
• Maintain a centralized, auditable repository for EHS standards and compliance evidence to ensure global consistency and regulatory readiness.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and management system maturity advancement.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure all locations maintain a strong compliance posture with global, regional, and local EHS regulations.
• Monitor global risk trends and oversee enterprise-level corrective action programs.
• Provide guidance on regulatory interpretations and compliance strategy.
• Lead compliance investigations and root-cause analysis for systemic issues.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Act as a strategic advisor to the Global Head of EHS on system performance, risks, and priorities.
• Lead cross-functional governance bodies related to management systems and compliance.
• Influence senior leaders and site teams to adopt consistent EHS expectations and continuous improvement.
• Provide functional leadership and direction to regional EHS management system and compliance resources, with or without direct reporting lines.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in EHS leadership roles in global or highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing ISO-based management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong knowledge of global EHS regulatory frameworks and compliance processes.
• Experience leading audits, regulatory inspections, and CAPA governance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree or professional certification (CSP, CIH, CEM, or equivalent).
• Experience implementing digital EHS platforms and tools for system governance.
• Strong background in cross-regional leadership and change management.
