The General Manager Malaysia and Singapore is responsible and accountable for overseeing the operations of the commercial affiliate in line with the overall business objectives and in full compliance
with CSL Code of Responsible Business Practices, global, regional, and local policies as well as all local laws and applicable codes.
Reporting to the SVP & GM, APAC Commercial Operations the General Manager will leads and guide the country team to achieve business goals while ensuring regulatory compliance to safeguard CSL's reputation
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Commercial strategy development & implementation and Business Revenue Targets
- Responsible for overseeing operations for Malaysia and Singapore affiliate by closely working with commercial, operations, R&D and enabling functions
- Full P&L accountability for MY/SG, including revenue, profitability, and OPEX
- Develops and implements commercial strategies supporting commercial business growth in MY/SG markets
- Leads and achieves In-Market Sales/performance and subsequently Ex-CSL objectives aligned with company management
- Understands market access, develops market insight and relations, and ensures successful launch of key products
- Maintains project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
- Identifies growth opportunities, develops and drives a vision for the affiliates and implements a strategic 5-year growth plan in close collaboration with other above market and enabling functions
- Drives commercial strategy planning and execution including new product launches, lifecycle management, tender participation, and market access strategies
- Actively involved in National and hospital tendering
- Regain Domestic Fractionation contracts in Malaysia & Singapore
- Establishes and drives sales targets in collaboration with other above market and enabling functions, ensuring achievement of in-market sales and financial goals aligned with budgeted OPEX
- Responsible for sales KPI's, keep the sales force duly trained and following CSL codes and compliance program, regular visits to customers aligned with market strategy, management and participation in tender business ensuring successful outcomes
- Ensures proper resources in marketing are in place and all activities in line with CSL codes and regulations promotional material development following Corporate guidelines for branding, new markets assessments, business case submission, marketing plan development, budget control, product launching activities, KOL's relationship building
Building high performing teams and team effectiveness
- Directs and develops commercial capabilities in Malaysia and Singapore affiliate teams to meet short and long-term business objectives, complies with regulations, and protects the group's public reputation in close collaboration with other above market and enabling functions
- Drives a Unified One CSL Culture across Behring and Vifor teams. Fosters a cohesive, high-performing organizational culture aligned to shared purpose, values, and ways of working, while respecting local market dynamics.
- Acts as a visible role model of OneCSL leadership behaviors, consistently reinforcing collaboration, accountability, and patient-centricity
- Establishes and manages structured business management processes to improve efficiency and quality of sales
- Focus on people development, providing promising futures for employees. • Reviews and improves organizational effectiveness by developing streamlined processes leveraging technology, overseeing employee performance, and influencing above-market and enabling functions to establish a highly motivational work environment and implement innovative changes
Cross function collaboration
- Develops market penetration strategy working in collaboration with above market experts in market access and medical affairs teams, and drive the execution
- Guides the strategic execution of marketing programs in accordance with the agreed marketing strategies
- Collaborates with finance, supply chain, quality and regulatory affairs teams in conjunction with other relevant internal CSL SME teams to deliver on objectives.
Building industry relationship and network
- Builds and maintains strong business partnership relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to PDN Malaysia, HSA/BSG Singapore, KKM Malaysia, ACE Singapore, SAPI and PhAMA Malaysia
- Acts as the primary representative to government bodies, hospital networks, industry associations, and key partners
- Maintains relationships with decision makers in key accounts, opinion leaders and other customer groups.
Management of local distributors and partners
- Leads and optimizes distributor partnerships to enhance channel effectiveness, ensure supply continuity, and deliver sustainable growth

Compliance & Code of Responsible Business Practice
- Acts in line with the Code of Responsible Business Practice • Act as a legal representative of CSL Behring, Malaysia & Singapore for all company operational activities
- Responsible for maintaining full compliance of regulatory status, pharmacovigilance, quality, and risk management of all CSL products via the CSL regulatory and other relevant employees
- Implements and maintains policies and procedures in line with corporate (and local) requirements
- Oversees risk management, including tender governance and supply continuity
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific or business field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years' commercial experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry, in senior sales and marketing roles preferably with P&L experience for a portfolio, country or region
- Experience in an associated discipline is desirable (e.g., Market Access, PAGA, Finance, Medical, Business Development etc.)
- Experience managing teams in an international matrix environment
- Proven experience in strategic and tactical/brand marketing and sales management, in successful market access and new products launch
- Ability to maximize market opportunities
- Strong results orientation, coupled with proven track record of success in managing distributors
- Financial acumen with proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
- Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
- Knowledge of country's health policy, regulatory and market environments preferred
- Track record developing and sustaining relationships with regulators, payers, policy makers, key opinion leaders, advocacy and industry groups
- Proficient in English; Malay is preferred
