EHS Specialist, Tullamarine
CSL (an ASX listed organisation and a leading global biotechnology company) is continuing to invest and grow.
Working at CSL's new cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in Tullamarine, you will be response for leading, developing and implementing EHS programs, and maintaining regulatory compliance, with a focus on Safety. This role will also be partnering with the business to ensure CSL manufacturing and project activities meet high standards for safety management and to drive continuous improvement.
As part of the EHS team, you will report into the Site EHS Director at our Tullamarine site. This role is based in Tullamarine with travel to HQ Melbourne CBD and Woodend from time to time.

- Lead incident investigations, facilitate incident investigation analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Establish and implement Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Business Partner with operation value streams and/or other groups as required
- Coordinate the site Emergency response and management process
- Develop and provide safety training as required
- Plan, develop and implement local EHS programs to ensure compliance with corporate EHS standards and regulatory requirements
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, ease of doing business and process, policy and procedure simplification.
- Facilitate co-operation between management and employees in developing and carrying out measures designed to proactively identify and manage closure of EHS issues through relevant committees and teams
- Develop EHS specific training packages and facilitate EHS education and communication workshops as required
Your Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years in an EHS role preferably in complex industrial/manufacturing/chemical environment
- Large pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in Australia
- Experience developing and implementing EHS Management systems and processes including proven ability to deliver practical tools and training
- Business partnering experience and the ability to bring a consultative, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and among multiple department functions
- Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven experience in your ability to address safety and environmental concerns and implement improvements
