About the Role:
CrowdStrike Information Technology is looking for a remote Sr. Network Engineer to join our IT Network Engineering team of 16 professionals. The person in this position will participate in a collaborative approach to expanding and supporting the corporate enterprise network, applying best practice design, implementation, network monitoring, and troubleshooting skills while demonstrating technical leadership.

What You'll Do:
- Design, implement, and validate solutions to complex cloud, data center, and remote office network engineering problems in alignment with established network and security architecture standards
- Monitor network infrastructure and traffic; identify and document problem areas and recommend network infrastructure and performance improvements based on current and projected enterprise network footprint
- Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders on network architecture, expansion, and optimization; document problem statement, project requirements, design details, and project status, issues, risks, and constraints to all stakeholders in a timely, clear, and concise manner
- Create and maintain graphical and written documentation of network designs
- Create, maintain, and follow standard team technical processes
- Provide tier-3 support for critical network incidents involving multiple teams
- Resolve customer requests and break/fix tickets in a timely and efficient manner
- Prepare clear written runbooks and execute scheduled network maintenance to meet stated objectives within designated maintenance windows
- Participate in cross-team major initiatives and provide technical leadership
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development
- Report to the Manager of Network Engineering with dotted-line relationships to regional IT leaders
Demonstrated, deep experience (7+ years) with the following:
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) implementation and management
- Palo Alto Networks firewall administration (physical and virtual appliances) using Panorama
- Multi-region/multi VPC AWS network engineering and administration
- Designing, implementing, and supporting scalable enterprise data center and remote office networks using enterprise-class routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- BGP routing
- Network automation using Ansible or Terraform
- Python or shell scripting
- Authentication, authorization, and access control systems
- Network monitoring systems
- Network diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio and Lucidchart
- Documentation tools such as Atlassian Wiki

- Must be willing to travel quarterly for team meetings and network deployments (up to 4 trips per year)
- Must be willing to participate in the team's weekly on-call rotation
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches
- Familiarity with Cisco Meraki dashboard and wireless access points
- Knowledge of F5 Networks BIG-IP
- Advanced understanding of IP addressing and subnetting, TCP/IP, and DNS
- Proficiency with protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark and pcap
- Advanced understanding of rack layouts, power and HVAC requirements, fiber optic and copper cabling
- Networking education and certification (ZDTA, ZDTE, CCNP, AWS Advanced Networking, etc.)
