About the Role:
The Data Science team is expanding and is looking for an experienced R&D leader for agentic systems to join our team. CrowdStrike's industry-leading Threat Graph ingests and analyzes more than a trillion security events per day, spanning ~2 trillion graph vertices and over 15 petabytes of data. Our malware research corpus is multi-petabyte in scale, with over 9 billion samples powering detection, hunting, and research. We're a cross-functional team with deep expertise in machine learning, big data, and cybersecurity.
What You'll Do:
- Work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Threat Research
- Work closely with subject matter experts in cybersecurity to understand analyst workflows and their security operations procedures
- Devise systems that automate analyst procedures using AI agents and devise systems that combine agents into increasingly complex workflows
- Research new approaches to agentic planning
- Collaborate and coordinate across Engineering, Data Science, and Managed Services teams
- Keep track of developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence and identify, define, and prioritize areas for research
- Establish objective criteria for benchmarking agentic systems
- Experienced in building AI and agentic systems
- Experienced in driving objective-driven data science projects
- Some familiarity with cybersecurity and Threat Research
- Effective communicator and planner that can build consensus within a large project team
- Ability to work independently on ambiguous and complex objectives
- Passionate about cybersecurity, with a firm understanding of the problem space or passionate about applying your machine learning skillset to new domain areas such as cybersecurity
- An independent self-starter who likes to take ownership and independently seeks out new challenges
- Thirsty for knowledge and do not hesitate to step outside of your comfort zone to learn new technologies, algorithms and concepts
- Analytically minded: never afraid to drill down into a data-set, or debug-deeper into an unfamiliar codebase
