About the Role:
The Security Specialist is responsible for carrying out system administration and technical duties on facility access control systems in line with industry standards to ensure operational and system integrations globally. The position carries responsibilities for maintaining CrowdStrike's security program and access control systems to reduce security vulnerabilities by enforcing formalized security processes, policies, and procedures for personnel and facilities.
The Security Specialist works under the Director of Global Security, and with department personnel across CrowdStrike's enterprise. The position consists primarily of internal company relationships, with some external vendor communications. You must have a passion for physical security processes, technology, administrative responsibilities, and complex systems. You must be able to demonstrate extensive experience, knowledge, skills and abilities directly related to Physical Protection Systems (PPS) - system administration, network vulnerabilities, network maintenance, access control and Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) platforms, security expansion and build design, and physical office security. The position also requires on-site office work a minimum of three days per week.

Due to the nature of the work, the position may require additional work hours during an incident, crisis, or event; up to and including nights and weekends.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with the Global Security System Administrator to manage CrowdStrike's facility security and access control program
- Administer all aspects of personnel security including processing access control requests, and supporting employee security briefings
- Identify risks and improvement opportunities through systematic weekly and monthly audits, reporting findings to management
- Create and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and standards
- Implement and communicate CrowdStrike's access control and video surveillance systems (VSS) program ensuring proper visitor management and access verification
- Review and update current access control methods, standards, and procedures to ensure the access database is accurate at all times
- Ensure inoperable security systems are properly documented, service requests are generated immediately, and compensatory measures are in place through issue resolution
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Protection program
- Facilitate incident resolution within the department, capturing relevant information and escalating to appropriate teams when necessary
- Monitor global facility camera feeds
- Work in direct coordination with CrowdStrike networking and IT departments to confirm all required policies are met
- Generate logs and reports according to departmental requirements and management requests
- Enhance communication methods with proactive solutions, ensuring transparent and responsive communication as authorized
- Secure an understanding of security among all CrowdStrike personnel
- Create and process new employee/contractor facility access accounts and control cards
- Promptly remove facility access control for terminated or departing employees
- Collaborate with GSOC leadership to establish and maintain a comprehensive security operations center environment.
- All other duties as assigned
Required:
- 5+ years' experience in global security operations, security management, and personnel/facility security
- Ability to work nights and weekends during a crisis event
- Experience in defining, implementing, and ensuring risk-based standards, processes and procedures
- Prior experience with PPS/VSS - access control, monitoring systems, networking, and IT
- Strong administrative skills
- Strong computer and systems knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to travel when required
- Prior military or law enforcement experience
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, and analytic skills with the ability to communicate physical security concepts to technical as well as non-technical audiences
- Experience with user provisioning and access management processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Experience in supporting training development and logistics
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build relationships with internal team members across all levels of the organization, as well as with external vendor organizations
- Proven ability to work independently with efficiency and flexibility
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with implementing security measures associated to PPS
- First Aid and CPR certified
