About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a sensor development team in the Exposure Management product group. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing the design and implementation of new security features in our lightweight agent. You'll guide a team of engineers working with core OS subsystems to build new Exposure Management capabilities. Many features are built in a way that they will have shared components across Windows, Mac and Linux. The team operates under the Agile development principles and ships frequently. This role is based in Pune, India.
What You'll Do:
Management Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-8 senior engineers
- Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions for sensor development
- Collaborate with Product Management to define roadmaps and prioritize features
- Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and hiring
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Security Research, Cloud Platform, and Customer Success teams
- Provide technical guidance on complex features spanning file system, memory, process, and networking subsystems
- Ensure high code quality, security standards, and performance optimization
- Participate in technical design reviews and architecture discussions
- Manage project timelines and deliverables using Agile methodologies
- Coordinate incident response for customer-reported issues
- Ensure team meets reliability and performance SLAs
- 12+ years of experience in hands-on development experience in C/C++ including atleast 3+ years of engineering management experience with teams of 4+ engineers
- Strong background in high-concurrency, multi-threaded applications
- Proven track record of shipping production software with high reliability requirements
- Experience in cybersecurity or endpoint protection
- Background in system-level programming
- Experience with distributed team management
