Summary:

Reporting to Manager Technical Services you will be exposed to and required to balance material science, technical capability, strategy, marketing, sales and management.

What you'll be contributing:

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • Field testing concrete at customer sites, offering troubleshooting and technical expertise in relation to production and product development.
  • Work with customers in the development and implementation of new solutions.
  • Assume a collaborative role in plant quality council activities, product development, and SCM sourcing and market development.
  • Promote CRH products to users and Engineering specifiers of cement.
  • Maintain highly positive company profile through participation in industry associations.
  • Work with the Marketing team to help strengthen the link between managing customer needs around quality, while focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.


To succeed in this position, you will need:
  • Bachelor's/University Degree preferably in Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience is preferred
  • Moderate travel required between sites
  • A strong knowledge of the Energy/ waste sector, Construction Industry and Engineering Building Design sector
  • Ability to organize and write effective technical reports and communicate effectively with a high level of technical skill
  • A strategic thinker, able to identify opportunities and manage new ideas and projects
  • A self-starter with strong sense of initiative to be able to think outside the box and motivate and coordinate diverse teams
  • Ability to work on large concepts down to finite details
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Energetic with strong business acumen
  • A self-starter that has the ability to collaborate with a number of teams

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Able to lift small objects frequently, weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • This position is sedentary in nature but may require periods of standing and walking


Work Environment
  • This position moves between lab, field, and plant environments.


Additional Information:

  • Compensation: $64,900 - $80,000
