As a Quarry Superintendent, you will ensure the efficient, safe, and successful operation of our quarry sites. Your leadership will be key to our continued success and reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze plant operations to identify variances from goals and develop actionable insights.
  • Maintain operating expenses within budget and implement ongoing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Administer and enforce safety programs, proactively identifying and correcting hazardous conditions.
  • Manage personnel requirements, including recruiting, assigning tasks, training, and providing performance feedback.
  • Approve and process staff timesheets efficiently.
  • Train and develop qualified team members to ensure seamless operation and succession planning.
  • Maintain quarry properties to high standards of condition and appearance.
  • Execute approved plans for plant rehabilitation and site beautification.
  • Identify operational deficiencies and implement plans for continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance objectives and foster a culture of growth through regular feedback and training.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, government regulations, and industry standards.
  • Direct mine and pit planning to optimize productivity and safety.


What We're Looking For
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with co-workers and managers.
  • Professionalism and courteous attitude toward colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Dependability to report to work on time and work overtime when necessary.
  • Comfort working outdoors in diverse weather conditions, from extreme heat to cold.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and requirements, including wearing PPE in designated areas.
  • Commitment to teamwork and willingness to assist others with various duties as required.
  • Minimum age of 18 due to working environment requirements.


Qualification Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in construction or quarry operations is preferred.
  • Technical education or certification in basic welding and fitting is a plus.
  • State-approved welding certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and Fit for Work physical (including medical card for driving, if applicable).
  • Ability to provide valid documentation for I-9 immigration purposes.
