Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician role will require performing routine quality control testing, inspections, and documentation to ensure our products meet company and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections, checks and tests during the manufacture of products
- Inspect the quality of products according to standards
- Preparation of materials and products for testing
- Testall products and raw materials and record results
- Sampling and reduction of samples
- Compiles, interprets and analyze results, tests reports and makes recommendations for improving processes
- Calculate adjustments needed to correct the product if necessary
- Support manufacturing team in producing the highest quality products
- Know all ASTM standards that apply and ensure all products meet these standards
- Execute Daily and Business fundamentals
- Willing and able to cross-train on other aspects of the production process
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple operating instructions and safety procedures
- Familiar with manufacturing lab equipment
- Knowledge of ASTM standards for manufactured concrete products
- Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high
- Must wear company provided personal protective equipment - earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes, and protective glasses . Candidates must provide their own safety boots/shoes upon hire and will be eligible to participate in Safety Boots/Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $30-$33 p/h
- Paid Time Off - 120 hours per calendar year (pro-rated in first year)
