The Project Engineer Intern supports project teams by assisting with planning, coordination, documentation, and communication throughout the project lifecycle. This role provides hands‑on experience in project management practices while contributing to the successful execution of organizational initiatives.

  • Assist, create, and maintain accurate project schedules that are communicated to both internal and external stakeholders. Includes internal daily schedules.
  • Review daily schedules for correctness on projects assigned.
  • Maintain daily contact with Supervisor and other field management to ensure proper knowledge of projects assigned. Communicate any issues that arise on the project assigned.
  • Track project both internal and subcontracted quantities daily in DQW. Review daily and weekly for accuracy.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication/ business relationships with project owners, General Contractors and vendors.
  • Assist Contract Administrators and other Project Managers with monthly estimates. Participate in meetings and ensure proper billings are being submitted to the owner
  • Ensure and audit that the quality of projects assigned meets or exceeds both internal and external minimum standards,
  • Engage in Learning Events as required by the Supervisor or Management following project quality incidents.
  • comprehend and follow established safety guidelines and processes.
  • Participate in preconstruction job rides with necessary personnel.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • No prior experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem‑analysis and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Proficient In:
  • Organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Working knowledge of and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications

Demands:
  • Flexible schedule, which may include occasional evenings or weekends
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment
  • Must be able to view a computer screen for extended periods
  • Ability to travel as needed and work at various locations
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
