Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing business functions of the plant and yard which includes safety, production scheduling, and purchasing. This individual will report to the Site Manager and works in conjunction with other managers and personnel to harmoniously complete the production requirements of the entire plant while overseeing productivity improvements, waste reductions, cost savings, and timely shipments to customers.
Job Location
- This position is on site at our Manufacturing facility in Frederickson, WA.
Job responsibilities
- Promotes, sustains and abides by all safety, environmental and company policies including wearing all required safety gear as instructed and by policy.
- Successfully hire, supervise, orient and train personnel in disciplines that will improve safety and productivity.
- Always promote and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance to production and delivery schedule by having necessary (parts, supplies, tools and equipment) are provided for efficient and effective production.
- Ability to coordinate, lead and direct individuals assigned to the Production Manager as a unit in completing the necessary tasks in an efficient and safe manner including utilizing required company tools to monitor daily activities.
- Direct or attend required meetings. Provide the necessary information as outlined by the Site Manager.
- Schedule workload and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on sale's request for product and product availability
- Perform inventory cycle counts of OPC, RM, and FG items while ensuring maintained yard organization.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Site Manager as deemed appropriate and necessary by them.
Job Requirements
- Must have excellent communication skills and solid computer knowledge in MS office software.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the day in a production/plant environment subject to unheated and non-air-conditioned environment.
- Ability to perform standard math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to lead and direct other individuals and work with other group leaders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees
- Strong listening and clear communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively resolve conflict
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented environment

Compensation
- Salary $105,000-$120,000
- Vacation hours of three weeks per year
