Job Summary
The process technician is responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility by identifying operational inefficiencies, developing standardized processes, supporting product line expansion, and leading process optimization projects. This role serves as a key resource to Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, while supporting the site's long-term growth objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the facility to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, waste, and operational constraints; develop and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead and support site improvement projects from concept through implementation, including tracking results and sustaining gains.
- Conduct cycle time studies, workflow analysis, labor utilization reviews, and process mapping activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, create, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Visual Operating Procedures (VOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
- Evaluate facility layout, material flow, storage methods, and workplace organization; recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and space utilization.
- Support new product introductions and product line expansions through process development, equipment evaluations, workflow planning, and documentation creation.
- Collect, analyze, and report operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Troubleshoot production and process-related issues and collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to implement sustainable solutions.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity concerns.
- Support engineering and quality functions with process validation activities, material evaluations, and specification compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with Operations Supervisors and Plant Management to reduce process variation and improve overall operational performance.
- Facilitate Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities as directed.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, housekeeping, quality standards, and operational excellence.
- Monitor implemented improvements to verify effectiveness and identify additional optimization opportunities.
- Assist in evaluating new equipment, tooling, automation, and technologies that support operational growth and efficiency.
- Train employees on new processes, procedures, and improvement initiatives as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Ability to perform time studies and process analysis.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs .
