Summary:

The Performance Manager is responsible for driving performance improvement for Americas Cementitious Materials (ACM) by leading development and implementation of strategies that will improve operational efficiency and commercial effectiveness. The incumbent will monitor strategies and operational key performance indicators to recommend actions for maximizing results across North America. The Performance Manager will collaborate with regional staff to optimize all aspects of our operational performance to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The incumbent will also liaise with Commercial Teams and the Manufacturing & Technical Services as well as Group Technical Services to gain their assistance with the execution of regional goals and objectives.

What you'll be contributing:

Operational Strategy Support:

  • Support the Regional operational strategy in alignment with its overall goals and objectives. This involves identifying key areas for improvement, setting performance targets, and defining initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Attend regional and functional Strategic Planning meetings and assist in the preparation of strategic plans, capital applications, operational reports, budget submissions and any other business support documents.

Commercial Performance Optimization:
  • Collaborate with senior management to define short and long-term business goals.
  • Develop KPIs using industry benchmarking that will drive market expansion and margin growth.
  • Develop effective campaigns and initiatives that drive sales growth.
  • Analyze sales data and customer insights to adjust marketing strategies as needed aligned with company ambitions.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.

Performance Measurement and Analysis:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance of various operational processes and activities.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, deviations, and areas of improvement, and use insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead Performance Meetings to drive results.
  • Provide support to regional staff in reviewing and reporting regional performance against strategic and operational objectives.

Process Optimization:
  • Drive performance improvement for ACM by leading development and implementation of strategies that will improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Design and review policies related to operational performance.

Change Management & Culture Building:
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-driven performance.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, communication, and change adoption efforts.
  • Influence leaders at all levels to embrace performance-driven behaviors.

Project Management & Execution:
  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives (cost reduction, revenue growth, process optimization).
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable benefits.
  • Support post-project audits to verify sustainability and ROI.

Performance Measurement & Reporting:
  • Build dashboards and scorecards integrating OpEx and ComEx KPIs.
  • Analyze performance data to identify gaps and prioritize action plans.
  • Communicate performance results to senior leadership with insights and recommendations.

Leadership:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the operational performance teams and working groups.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve performance targets
  • Collaborate with regional staff to coordinate regional strategic and operational activities.
  • Other duties consistent with the role where required and/or requested.


To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in strategy and operations planning, merger and acquisition experience and, deep project management capability.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Proactively approaches responsibilities
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents
  • Proven history of improving operational performance
  • Able to transmit expertise
  • Ability to work effectively in a challenging environment
  • Readiness to travel around 50% of the month to investigate performance and attend meetings


Compensation:

• Compensation: $125,100-$152,900
• Eligible for yearly bonus
• Travel up to 50%
