PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Parts Runner position will ensure all parts are picked up and delivered to the appropriate location in a timely manner. This position will answer to the Parts Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to handle all types of customer parts phone inquiries in a diplomatic, friendly and businesslike manner
- Ability to pick, pack, and ship parts in a timely and accurate manner (must be able to lift 50 lbs.)
- Accurately monitors and acknowledges customer transactions with appropriate documentation
- Deliver parts as necessary (including to vessels)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of safety
- Serves as a role model, reinforcing the customer focus, values and expectations through personal commitment and involvement
- Fosters flexibility and rapid response to changing opportunities and requirements
- Works towards continuous improvement; and
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education
- Energetic and customer driven
- Good organizational skills
- Courteous customer communication skills
- Excellent people skills are essential
- Consistently exhibits satisfactorily levels of performance
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment, drive projects forward and meet or exceed goals
- Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with management, team members, vendors and internal and external customers; and
- All other duties as assigned.
