Position Overview

Lead and manage the ARP North Op-Cos (East Wenatchee, Quincy, Ephrata, Othello) and WSG Locations, including the Plants, Customer Service, Ready Mix Delivery and Transportation in all aspects of safety, operations, sales, finance, equipment and critical support functions. Work with General Manager to ensure effective execution of company operational goals and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Provide leadership and monitor the general operations of dispatch management to ensure operations are within guidelines, safety measures, and administrative policies.
  • Promote a safe working culture for all employees; work with safety, site managers, and personnel to minimize risk and increase safety for employees at all times.
  • Responsible for daily operations including safe production, quality, customer focus and maintaining the integrity of the safety and environmental systems within company's operations for RMC Plants.
  • Drive operational performance and improvements to meet or exceed company goals.
  • Generate and manage the RMC and Transportation operating budget for the fiscal year under the direction of the General Manager.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Build effective teams and develop direct reports for future opportunities.
  • Monitor and control production through direction of the site managers to ensure safe production, on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Work with General Manager to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
  • Be an innovator, constantly striving for safer ways to improve production, improve our products, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Provide leadership and direction in conjunction with our sales and marketing efforts resulting in maximum product sales, meeting or exceeding customer expectations, and driving maximum profitability.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Management and Operations, or similar is preferred, but not required.


Work Requirements
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined per company policy.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.


Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Related experience in RMC/Construction field, minimum 5 years (desired)
  • Plant management or related experience 3+ years minimum (highly desired)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications including point of sale, payroll and GPS Tracking Software.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable of materials and equipment needed to perform tasks.
  • Ability to use decision making skills for cost effective solutions on projects.


Compensation
  • Base salary $113,000-135,000 plus bonus
  • Paid time off
  • Sick leave benefits in accordance with State Laws
  • 401k plan
  • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability benefits
  • Ten paid holidays per year


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk or stand greater than one third of the time, or sit no greater than a third of the time
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders to examine equipment at heights.
  • Ability to occasionally move/carry objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.


Work Environment
  • Ability to wear respirator in workplace conditions containing fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
  • Will work between a standard office and field operations environment.
