Job Summary

The Foreman will assist the Production Manager in leading the production workforce and processes by ensuring a safe and efficient production of Oldcastle products that meet quality standards and customer specifications.

• Communicates with Production Manager and Plant Manager to gather critical operations information including machine functionality, materials levels, and production data and priority
• Acts as floor lead in the absence of the Production manager
• Identifies and proactively addresses safety concerns and enforces staff compliance with safety regulations
• Mentorship: Train new employees and cross-train staff on production related tasks
• Owns shift execution, production output, labor coordination, and issue resolution
• Serves as first point of contact for production questions and problems
• Leads and maintains CI boards
• Leads shift huddles to share daily production information and a safety topic to ensure alignment on production priorities and an efficient shift start
• Schedules and communicates work assignments for production employees based on the production schedule, highest priority production needs and labor constraints
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Leadership: Strong communication and management skills to direct, train and motivate teams
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
• Prior experience in production/manufacturing
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role or supervisory role
• Basic to advance skills with MS Office, with the ability to complete reports and navigate through multiple platforms and reporting features
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
