The Financial Analyst will contribute to financial performance reporting, spend analytics, dashboard creation, CapEx performance tracking, and KPI/governance activities. Designed as a development opportunity for early‑career analysts, the role offers hands‑on experience across financial, analytical, and cross‑functional business processes. Under the guidance of the Sr. Financial Analyst, the associate supports workstreams that require accuracy, consistency, and disciplined analysis; final interpretations and recommendations are reviewed and approved by senior staff. By enhancing analytical capacity within the Business Performance (BP) Finance function, the position supports growing organizational needs-including expanded reporting, deeper cost analytics, and a higher cadence of dashboarding and strategic preparation for leadership.
Job Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Assist in preparing draft KPI summaries and supporting commentary for business reviews.
- Ensure data accuracy through routine auditing, reconciliation, and validation of key financial and operational datasets.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring reporting processes, dashboards, and data refresh cycles.
- Support ad hoc analyses and special projects across BP as business needs evolve.
- Coordinate data and information requests across BP, Operations, Procurement, and Corporate Finance.
- Support preparation of discretionary spend analyses and trend commentary as directed by the Financial Analyst.
- Assist with CapEx financial model inputs and documentation.
- Assist with business case preparation, tracking project spend, and monitoring ROI realization.
- Serve as a point-of-contact for troubleshooting reporting tools, data refresh issues, and foundational BI logic.
- Support maintenance of enterprise benefit-tracking governance.
Job Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in FP&A, project finance, cost accounting, or business analysis (including internships or co‑op experience). Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or capital‑intensive sectors is a plus.
- Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Proactive, curious mindset with a desire to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and automation.
- Foundational understanding of financial concepts (e.g., budgets, spend tracking, ROI basics) and an interest in learning procurement and cost‑tracking processes.
- Basic project coordination or project support experience preferred (class projects, internships, or early-career experience acceptable)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent). Certifications preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability in partnering across teams to support business needs.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
