Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to clarify part specifications, provide sourcing options, and drive standardization for orders.
  • Coordinate timely procurement of parts and supplies from a variety of vendors to support equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Partner with suppliers and the Sourcing Department to ensure accurate communication of product and service details, including pricing, availability, part numbers, and delivery timelines.
  • Proactively expedite orders and assist in troubleshooting procurement challenges as they arise.
  • Support Procurement Managers with research, special projects, and purchase order processing.
  • Receive and process all parts requests, place orders, and ensure prompt delivery and distribution to mechanics and other departments.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and work with vendors to secure proper credits, especially for returned core parts.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels in the parts room to control costs and ensure availability.
  • Collaborate closely with the equipment team on projects and respond quickly to additional needs.
  • Operate a forklift to offload incoming freight (a plus, but not required).


Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in purchasing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with procurement tools, processes, and systems is a plus.
  • Experience in mining, construction, or manufacturing environments is beneficial, but not required.
  • Valid fork truck operating certificate is a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; Excel skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness.
  • Comfortable using the internet for research and evaluation of suppliers and products.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace and upholding high standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, physical, and criminal background check.

  • Consistently demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude toward all coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Be punctual and ready to work at your designated start time.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety requirements and company policies, including those outlined by OSHA, MSHA, and our Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.
