Summary
This position will be based out of central Alabama and cover the aggregates group throughout Alabama.
This is a skilled position requiring the individual to be a licensed electrician and to perform installs and repairs of electrical systems and other electrical components pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment as associated with the Aggregates industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Installs power supply wiring and conduits for machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Plans the layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in building and other Ready Mix facilities.
- Maintain all electrical aspects associated with the Ready Mix facility and operations

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Two to three years of electrician experience. Previous construction experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be have a basic understanding of computers and any related software pertaining to electrician work.
- Certified and licensed electrician
- Standard Driver's License
