Job Summary

The Director of Order Management is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end order lifecycle, from order intake through fulfillment. This role owns the vision, execution, and performance of the entire centralized Order Management function and ensures order accuracy, operational efficiency, and seamless cross-functional execution while supporting company growth and customer commitments. The Director coaches and develops talent (directly manages a team) and partners closely with Customer Experience to drive process excellence, system effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the order life cycle.

  • This position is remote and the perferred locations to live in are Atlanta,GA, Phoenix, AZ or Salt Lake City, UT.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the order management team, fostering accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for order management aligned with business objectives
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics related to order accuracy, cycle time, and fulfillment performance
  • Ensure accurate and timely order processing in accordance with customer agreements and internal controls
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to capacity constraints, supply disruptions, and service commitments
  • Assist with SOP creation and governance frameworks to implement through Customer Experience Teams
  • Drive standardization and optimization of order management processes across divisions
  • Partner with IT on system enhancements, integrations, testing, and deployments
  • Ensure data integrity across order-related systems and reporting
  • Utilize dashboards and analytics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Support customer onboarding and major account launches from an order execution perspective


Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in leadership, customer experience, customer success, service design, or related disciplines
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of order-to-cash processes and controls
  • Experience managing complex, high-volume, or customized orderStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using KPIs and operational dashboards
  • Experience with ERP and OMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce)
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or B2B environments (preferred)
  • Experience leading process transformation or system implementations (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


Compensation

  • Base Salary $160,000-$190,000 with an annual target bonus of 20%
