Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

  • Establish and maintain a brand and messaging architecture; enforce consistent application across all channels per CRH guidelines and social media policy.
  • Advise senior leadership on market trends, reputation considerations, and employee sentiment; translate insights into actionable programs.

Internal Communications (Employee & Leadership Comms)
  • Define and execute an employee communications strategy that connects all employees-including plant and field teams-to Division goals, safety priorities, and culture.
  • Operate a leader‑led cascade for major priorities and change initiatives; produce leader toolkits, talking points, FAQs, and visual assets.
  • Plan and produce executive communications (all‑hands, town halls, plant meetings, video messages, speechwriting).
  • Govern the digital workplace channels (SharePoint intranet, Viva Engage/Yammer, Teams, email newsletters, video, digital signage) with a channel map, content standards, moderation, and SLAs.
  • Partner closely with HR, Safety, and Operations on critical employee communications (e.g., policy updates, benefits, engagement, safety alerts).
  • Measure effectiveness (reach, comprehension, sentiment, cascade completion); drive continuous improvement.

External Communications & Public Relations
  • Lead media relations, thought leadership, and social media; ensure message discipline and risk management per CRH External Communications Guidelines and Social Media Policy.
  • Elevate the Division's profile through industry events, speaking, awards, community relations, and customer storytelling.
  • Issues & Crisis Communications: maintain divisional readiness (holding statements, Q&A, roles, call trees) and escalate to Corporate Communications before responding to reporters; follow CRH crisis protocols and templates.

Revenue‑Driven Marketing
  • Orchestrate demand‑generation programs that produce quality pipeline: integrated paid/owned/earned media, ABM, content syndication, and event marketing.
  • Partner with Commercial/Sales to enable pipeline creation and progression (MQL→SQL→Closed‑Won); implement marketing automation and CRM to nurture leads and track attribution.
  • Establish campaign performance reviews focused on ROI, pipeline impact, and revenue attribution.

Digital, Brand & Content
  • Oversee digital marketing, web, SEO/SEM, and analytics; ensure a high‑performing web journey and effective conversion paths.
  • Lead content strategy (customer case studies, product/solution narratives, videos, executive bylines) aligned to buying stages and employee storytelling.

Budget, Measurement & Governance
  • Own the M&C budget; optimize spend to cost‑per‑outcome.
  • Operate a measurement framework for internal comms, external comms, and demand gen; publish dashboards to the Leadership Team.
  • Enforce compliance with CRH brand and communications policies and social media governance.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing Marketing & Communications team (content, design, digital, internal comms).
  • Foster cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, HR, Safety, Operations, and Legal.
