As the Director, Business Integration, you will play a key leadership role in helping our South Central Division grow through acquisitions. From the moment a deal is approved through integration and business stabilization, you'll serve as the central leader responsible for turning acquisition plans into successful business outcomes.
This is a highly visible role that partners with senior leaders across Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Safety, Legal, and other functions to ensure new businesses are integrated smoothly, employees are supported, and value is realized quickly. What You'll Do
Lead Acquisition Due Diligence
- Guide the division's due diligence process from deal approval through closing, ensuring teams stay aligned, informed, and focused on key priorities.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to evaluate acquisition opportunities and identify risks, opportunities, and resource needs.
- Translate findings into actionable plans that support a successful Day 1 launch and long-term integration strategy.
- Provide clear recommendations and updates to executive leadership throughout the transaction process.
- Create integration plans tailored to each acquisition's goals, size, complexity, and operating environment.
- Establish key milestones, success measures, responsibilities, and timelines to keep projects on track.
- Lead Day 1 readiness, first-100-day activities, and business stabilization efforts.
- Continuously improve integration processes, tools, and best practices to support future growth.
- Build and lead teams of subject matter experts across multiple business functions.
- Facilitate leadership reviews, integration meetings, and decision-making forums.
- Foster accountability, resolve obstacles, and keep stakeholders aligned around common objectives.
- Maintain visibility into project status, key decisions, risks, and action plans.
- Partner with business leaders to coordinate the transition of systems, processes, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Help balance local business needs with enterprise standards while minimizing disruption.
- Coordinate communications, training, readiness activities, and stabilization efforts for employees and business leaders.
- Serve as the South Central Division's primary integration liaison for major enterprise initiatives, including SAP implementation efforts.
- Turn acquisition goals and synergy targets into measurable initiatives and business results.
- Monitor progress with Finance and operational leaders to ensure value realization stays on track.
- Lead change management and communication efforts that help teams adopt new ways of working.
- Champion CRH's culture and values while respecting and preserving the strengths of acquired organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Information Systems, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in business integration, mergers and acquisitions, transformation, program management, operations, finance, technology, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs such as acquisition integrations, enterprise transformations, or ERP implementations.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel throughout the South Central Division, particularly during acquisitions and major integration milestones.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Program, project management, or change management certifications.
- Experience leading both due diligence and post-close integration activities.
- SAP or other enterprise ERP implementation experience.
- Experience within construction materials, manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other multi-site operating environments.
- Knowledge of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, paving, or construction services.
- Experience building integration methodologies, playbooks, and governance frameworks.
