Position Overview

In this role, you'll be leading crusher crew members, and ensuring operations at the crusher plant are efficient and productive. You'll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Wage: $64.15/hr with potential for overtime.
Note: This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Starting wage will be based on hours worked and Union Status under the applicable CBA. Wages including overtime wages may also be specified by applicable CBA, Davis-Bacon, Prevailed, or other federal, state, or local contracts.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Safely maintain crusher plant operations to ensure timely production.
- Perform safety inspections and run routine staff safety meetings.
- Oversee the daily activities and manage the production and loading of aggregates.
- Maintain employee schedules and facilitate effective communication with team members.
- Carry out regular maintenance and repairs, and make sure that all necessary parts are ordered promptly.
- Routinely assist other members of the work force in maintenance and repair.
- Review monthly expenditures.
- Collaborate with Pit Foreman for materials best suited for plant needs
- Ensure department and personnel compliance with all MSHA, and all other company or state rules and regulations.
- Expected to maintain s a clean and organized work area as well as those under your supervision.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Regular and timely attendance.
- Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
- Track and maintain employees to responsibly use, maintain and return all company provided tools and equipment. Including any supplied basic hand tools, Gas powered equipment, Cordless tools, chain falls, etc.
- Keep employees accountable for accidents and damage to equipment.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in leading crushing operations.
- Working knowledge of InField and Peak Production program(s).
- The ability to create and maintain schedules.
- Strong Communication and customer service.
- Previous experience ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated experience supervising a team and/or completion of a Company sponsored Leadership program.
- Working knowledge or understanding of PC software and Microsoft Office Programs.
- Ability to influence people to work enthusiastically towards development, quality, safety, and production targets by effectively providing necessary coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
- Valid Driver's License.
Work Requirements
- Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Demonstrates the willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
- Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
- Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment-controlled substance testing.
