Job Qualifications

Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology degree preferred. Candidate must be proficient with computers, willing to work in the field, and willing to do limited travel.
Job Summary

The CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER assists the Construction Manager, Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents with the administration of Montana Materials' construction work. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, but occasional work may be required on weekends. Typical work weeks may exceed 40 hours.
Basic Job Functions

• Complete Pre-bid Take-offs
• Develop Small Project Bids
• Transfer Awarded Projects from Bidding Software to Accounting Software
• Prepare and Submit Permit Applications
• Prepare Project Submittals
• Help Prepare Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
• Maintain Project Files
• Assist Field Superintendents
• Assist Surveyor
• Assist Construction Crews
• Assist Estimators
• Track and Maintain Project Quantities
• Assist Project Managers/Construction Manager and Estimators as Necessary Manage Small Construction Crews
