Reports to: Commercial Director - Infrastructure Products Europe
Role Overview: The Commercial Excellence Manager will promote continuous improvement and transformation across commercial operations. Responsible for ensuring that commercial strategies are aligned with business goals. Using data analytics, build strong stakeholder relationships, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence to ensure our commercial strategies are effectively executed. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
What our new 'Commercial Excellence Manager' you be doing:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
- Identity and segment target markets based on customer profiles, needs, and behaviours to ensure the company's offerings are targeted and relevant.
- Ensure the effective management of process change management, integrity of data, reporting and education of team members.
- Lead the ComEx team members on commercial projects, pricing, customer segmentation, sales management.
- Encourage the use of innovative tools, digital technologies, and methodologies, to improve commercial outcomes, including CRM systems, automation tools and AI-driven insights.
- Use advanced data analysis and reporting to evaluate commercial activities, trends and customer feedback, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Work on establishing and optimising pricing models that align with market demand, competition, and the companies' financial goals.
- Assist in the tender process from the pre ‐ qualification stage through to the final bid submission, award of contract and engagement close out.
- Maintain regular contact with the systems team to ensure provision of correct and required data.
- Manage and explore new databases/data systems that allow for best-in-class ComEx across Infrastructure Products Europe.
- Report monthly on customer and product sales & margin with a particular view to improvements.
- Train and develop the ComEx team to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Work across all departments to develop initiatives to drive optimum margin and processes.
- Collate and deliver accurate data to report monthly to stakeholders across Infrastructure Products Europe.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them aligned with business goals and objectives.
- All other duties as deemed necessary by the Commercial Director IPE.
The experience our new 'Commercial Excellence Manager' will have includes:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Candidates must have 5 years of experience in commercials roles with a strong background in sales, marketing, or business development.
- Experienced analytic skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrable technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Experience developing people and a good understanding of project management
- Ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively and report to senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex commercial challenges.
- Strong knowledge of business processes, financials, and budgeting.
