Position Overview
The Bid and Contracts Admin will aid the Contracts Manager by overseeing and managing the entire process surrounding construction projects. This includes but is not limited to managing bids, contracts and maintaining construction project records, and financial accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties & Functions)
- Monitor public bidding portals for new projects
- Maintain bid submission calendar and track deadlines
- Review and organize bidding documents, including addenda
- Prepare bid documents for submission
- Report reviewing for accuracy
- Set up projects in estimating and accounting software
- Request bonds, certificates of insurance and tax-exempt certificates and various other contractual or bidding related needs
- Log project daily tons activities
- Prepare payment applications
- Perform other public bid and contract duties as needed
- Able to work in multiple computer programs and software
Skills & Specifications
This role requires strong communication skills, a keen attention to detail and the ability to problem solve. The contract administrator must be very organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically in Excel and Outlook, is necessary.
Education/Professional Experience
- Prior experience in a construction office, accounting, and underwriting skills are beneficial, but not mandatory
