CRH Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is a strategic division within the company that encompasses a diverse portfolio of operations and business in the Eastern region. Comprising markets Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Germany and Switzerland, the CEE region plays a crucial role in CRH's global presence and growth strategy.

Your main tasks will be:

  • accurate and timely processing of invoices
  • vendor relationships
  • Clearing of GR/IR and Open items on vendor accounts
  • Manage and coordinate ctrl and audit related activities related to AP Processes
  • Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, performance management, and development
  • Oversee the processing of invoices and payment requests in accordance with company policies
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices
  • Maintain strong vendor/internal business partner relationships and resolve discrepancies or disputes
  • Ensure compliance according to internal rules/policies/external laws (e.g. VAT)
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare, analyse and clear accounts payable ageing reports
  • Coordinate with procurement and receiving departments to ensure proper three-way matching
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities for accounts payable
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage the AP system and work with IT on system upgrades and enhancements
  • Prepare reports and metrics measuring AP Teams performance
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations

You are the ideal candidate if you have:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounts payable experience
  • At least 1-3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • fluent English AND Hungarian knowledge
  • requires strong leadership skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to implement process improvements
  • whilst maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards
