Job Description: Senior Renewals Representative - Strategic Accounts

Position Overview
The Cornerstone Senior Renewals Representative is a key contributor to customer retention and long-term account health across a defined portfolio of strategic clients. By building strong relationships and deeply understanding each customer's business needs, the Renewals Representative ensures clients continue to realize maximum value from their Cornerstone solutions. This role focuses on driving seamless, on-time renewals, identifying opportunities to expand contract value, and supporting the overall customer journey to strengthen satisfaction and partnership longevity.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Account Managers, Customer Excellence, Customer Engagement, and Customer Support to ensure an efficient, customer-centered renewal experience. They will serve as a trusted advisor throughout the renewal cycle-communicating value, mitigating risks, and ensuring commercial alignment between Cornerstone and the client.

In this role, you will...

  • Develop and execute a structured framework for tracking, managing, and optimizing renewals within a strategic book of business.
  • Proactively engage with customers and partners to guide them through a timely, well-organized renewal process.
  • Prepare all renewal-related materials, build accurate quotes, and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure a smooth contracting experience.
  • Partner closely with Account Managers to provide visibility into renewal status, surface risks, and address any blockers.
  • Act as the project manager for each renewal cycle, ensuring alignment with customer timelines and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You have what it takes if you have...

  • 2-4+ years of experience in renewals, account management, customer success, sales operations, or another customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated success managing renewal cycles or customer contracts in a SaaS or subscription-based business.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple renewal timelines and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to articulate product value and communicate effectively across internal and customer audiences.
  • Experience with CRM and quoting systems (Salesforce, CPQ tools, or equivalent).
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through abilities.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate renewal risks while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Finance.
  • Solid commercial acumen with an understanding of contract terms, pricing structures, and revenue impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience supporting enterprise or strategic customer segments.
  • Background in SaaS, HR tech, learning technology, or similar enterprise software environments.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation, procurement processes, or pricing strategies.
  • Experience with CPQ tools, revenue operations, or quote-to-cash workflows.
  • Ability to analyze customer usage data to identify trends, risks, or expansion opportunities.
  • Experience collaborating with global customers across multiple regions.
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone products or similar learning/talent solutions.
  • Exposure to renewal forecasting or pipeline management.
  • Experience partnering with Account Managers on strategic account planning.
  • A track record of influencing customer outcomes without direct sales ownership.
