Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer in India. Reporting to the Senior Manager - IT Analytics. The right candidate has strong communication skills, passion for solving business problems with data and has domain knowledge in Finance, Human Resources, and Customer Success. You have empathy, curiosity and desire to improve and constantly learn. Should be hands-on with dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, Fivetran, and has a proven track record of driving the best practices and processes, building data models and ETL loads.

This individual will:

1. Design and build performant data models - facts and dimension to support primary business functions for Finance, Procurement & HR.
2. They'll be the data evangelist for their responsible business domains driving adoption of data & analytics across business teams, building data stories and make a major shift on how Enterprise decisions are made using data.
3. Work independently and partner with a global Business Stakeholders and IT/ETL engineers (onsite and offshore).

• Translate business requirements into strong technical solutions; work closely with stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality reporting and analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and its various product and feature offerings
• Write complex SQLs to analyze cross functional business data sets to find answers to business questions, test the data quality.
• Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and solve it with sense of high urgency.
• Understand the data from the source systems and be able to transform it into data-marts and semantic models in Snowflake using complex SQL transformation via dbt.
• Clearly communicate progress, dependencies, risks, issues, key metrics to business and IT leadership.
• Support self-service data initiatives and train business teams on data platforms.
• Review work from peers and mentor junior team members

• Excellent Communication Skills & ability to collaborate across multiple business and IT teams and mentor other engineers on the team.
• Oracle Fusion and dbt exposure is a must

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and complex business workflows in Finance, Customer Success, and HR.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis using complex SQL & hands-on in Snowflake and dbt.
• Strong Python, Airflow, AWS, and Fivetran Knowledge will be an advantage
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong Knowledge of Salesforce; campaigns, quotes and opportunities
• Tableau Desktop Certified Professional
• Hands-on experience with Python and Java
• Data Science, ML and Gen AI experience
