AI Engineering Intern - Summer

Cornerstone OnDemand is looking for a motivated AI Engineering Intern who is currently pursuing a degree and interested in building real-world experience with AI technologies. In this role, you will support the design and development of AI-powered solutions using Microsoft Azure AI services, Copilot, and Generative AI tools while learning from experienced engineers.

In this role, you will...

• Support the development of AI-powered applications using Azure OpenAI and other Azure AI services
• Assist in building and testing Generative AI solutions using prompt engineering and basic RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts
• Help develop and improve AI-driven workflows and automation solutions
• Work with APIs and assist in integrating AI capabilities into internal tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint)
• Contribute to simple data pipelines and help prepare data for AI model usage
• Assist in experimenting with AI tools such as Copilot and documenting findings
• Support proof-of-concept projects to explore new AI technologies
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams on ongoing AI initiatives
• Help document processes, best practices, and learnings

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in AI/ML and emerging technologies like Generative AI
• Basic programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Familiarity with APIs and general software development concepts
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts (coursework or personal projects is fine)
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Familiarity with tools like Git, REST APIs, or basic data processing
• Experience with prompt engineering or experimenting with LLMs (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.)
• Personal or academic projects involving AI or automation
