Summary:
The Utility Engineer, Lead serves in LEAD CAPACITY over Engineers, and all Utilities related activities. Maintains records and data related to Utility Systems and Facilities Equipment. Develops procedures and scheduled for maintenance, inspection, and repair of systems/ equipment. Provides for smooth shift changes by meeting with outgoing and incoming shifts. Reviews events of previous shift, status of scheduled and unscheduled assigns Engineers to best meet daily workload. Reviews performs and productivity data with Manager of Engineering. Participates in leadership reviews for all Engineers. Attends weekly department meetings with information to staff, prioritize task, review progress, plan educational in-services. Provides training, education, and safety in-service to staff. Shares on call duties to assure department supervisory personnel are available at all times. Interacts with contractors as needed for major construction, renovations, remodels, and small projects.
• perates, maintains, and trouble shoots facility utility systems including steam, chilled water, hydronic loops, electrical distribution systems, vertical lift systems, medical gases, domestic water, pneumatic tube, and sewage systems.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 7 years of relevant Plant Operations and maintenance experience.
- Will consider relevant education in lieu of a portion of work experience.
- Computer literate in Windows or NT environment.
Certification/Licensure:
- City of Fort Worth maintenance license or equivalent state license.
- Additional level of License or Certification in related field may be required.
