Summary:
This RN will serve as a role model, change agent, and facilitator while assessing learning needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for patient and family education. The Education Coordinator collaborates with teams to ensure that education is congruent with the strategic goals and promise of Cook Children's, as well as with current standards of practice and evidence-based research. This RN maintains exemplary professional interpersonal communication skills, collaborates well with teams, and demonstrates good customer relation skills. The Education Coordinator demonstrates sound clinical judgment and strong critical thinking abilities while striving to enhance the quality of patient care. This educator supports and emphasizes principles of family-centered care. This individual also maintains clinical competency as a pediatric nurse and collaborates with the clinical educator to facilitate staff education.
Monday - Friday (Potentially weekend if needed but the manager can discuss this in the interview)
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years Pediatric clinical experience.
- Diabetic education experience preferred.
- Prior education experience preferred.
- BSN required.
- Hold graduate degree in nursing, education, or related field, or be pursuing graduate degree.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
RN, BSN, BLS, PALS Required
