Summary:

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating new patient referrals for our Urology department. This includes but is not limited to coordination of clinical review, communication with the referring office, and insurance eligibility verification.

Hours: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years' experience working in a medical office.
  • Prior referral coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of diversified insurance plans.
  • Knowledge of coding and medical terminology.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to working with the public and medical staff.

Certification/Licensure:

  • CPR to be completed the first 60 days of employment.
